Process blackberries in a blender till smooth, stopping to scrape down sides. Pour through a wire-mesh strainer into 2 quart pitcher, discard solids; stir in 7 cups of water, sugar [quantity may be varied to taste] an drink mix. Serve over ice and garnish with mint sprigs and/or lemon slices if desired.
Yield: about 2 quarts and takes about 10 minutes to prepare.
