"...It is kinda like a mock cobbler. The recipe sounds like it won't work but it does." -Nancy Schaffer Ingredients:
Melt one stick of butter/margarine in a oven proof dish. I used the square corning one. In a bowl mix one cup of whole milk, 1-1/2 cups sugar and 1-1/2 cups self-rising flour until the lumps are out. Then add to the melted butter in the dish and stir well. Sprinkle sugar on 1-1/2 cups blueberries and stir, then pour them on top of the mixture and gently push down into the dough. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. The fruit will sink to the bottom and a crust will rise to the top. You can adjust the sugar amount according to the sweetness of the berry. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream. The berries are delicious ! Nancy Schaffer
